I recently had Stanley from Radon Solutions come out to help with a drainage issue that has ben a problem for the last 15 years. They raised and pitched the concrete slab in several places. We have had rain for the past several days for the first time since the work was complete and all the water sheds away from the house to the drain. I am very happy that a long time issue is solved. I highly recommend them.

Basement & Radon Solutions installed a Sub-Slab mitigation system inside Margaret's crawlspace. The radon suction line was installed in the left end basement slab. After diagnostics for system performance, a 5" diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below. A suction pit was then created. A 4" schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and was extended into the homes attic. The radon fan was mounted in the basement. The radon fan vent pipe was then extended through and properly flashed above the roof of the home. The manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) was installed on the suction line pipe in the garage. After installing the mitigation system the radon gas level came back at 2.8 pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping Margaret make her crawlspace happy, healthy & safe again.

Basement & Radon Solutions did our Poly Lift & Fill for Kevin & Laurie. Here is how it works & also some benefits- 1. Drilling holes in strategic spots on your slab – holes are drilled in the affected areas of the concrete slabs, usually in a regular pattern and spacing to allow for even pumping of concrete raising material underneath. 2. Polyurethane foam is pumped in – with the holes in your slab, polyurethane foam is pumped in with the use of a high-pressure injection gun. The material instantaneously expands and fills the voids underneath the slab and in the soil, raising the concrete to its original level. This material also helps stabilize the soil underneath by filling in the gaps and compressing loose areas. 3. Cost Effective – Concrete raising is typically half the cost of replacing the same concrete. Ultimately, the cost of raising or stabilizing concrete is a direct reflection of how much leveling material the project will require. 4. Quick-Cure Time – Polyurethane typically cures 15 minutes after injection allowing areas to be fully available in minutes instead of days. 5. Clean Work Environment – No concrete or grout spatter and no wash-down needed. 6. Small Holes – Polyurethane concrete raising creates nearly invisible 5/8" holes with minimal patchwork required. 7. Lightweight – Weighing only 2-4lbs per cubic foot, high density polyurethane's lightweight characteristics will not overburden the soil. 8. Green! – The poly foams we use are environmentally friendly, consisting of 39-49% renewable and recycled materials that are made in the USA. Most poly raw materials are petroleum-based. Our green polyurethane Biobased materials are not only good for the environment, but actually enhance the foam properties. It was a pleasure helping Kevin & Laurie make their home happy, healthy, and safe again! They also gave us a 5 Star Review!
New FastDrain Addition Begins Here Kevin B.
December 29, 2020

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, extended Kevin's Fast Drain around the perimeter of his basement. We also installed some Thermal Shield wall liner- Metal foil faced reflective liner w/plastic moisture barrier that goes against the wall. It's also 90 mil thick, Class A Fire Rated and near zero perm rate. With both of theses systems in place it will help keep Kevin's basement nice and dry. It was a pleasure helping make Kevin's home safe, happy, and healthy!

November 3, 2020

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, installed a Sub-Slab Radon Mitigation System for Bart. The reason for this sub-slab radon mitigation system is it draw out the radon from under the slab before it reaches any living areas of Bart's home. We started by drilling a hole into the slab down to the earth to create a suction pit. Then from the suction pit the pipe was then lead up and out to the exterior of the home. Connected to the pipe on the exterior of the home is the radon fan. The radon fans job is to draw out the radon gas from the suction pit. From the radon fan that pipe was then extended to above the roofline of the home, where the radon gas was expelled safely. Also a Manometer (a vacuum gauge) was installed for easy viewing so that Bart can make sure the radon mitigation system is still working. After the radon mitigation system was installed BRS Pros did a 48 hour radon test. This test came back at 1.1 pCi/L!  It was a pleasure to help Bart make his new home happy, healthy, and safe!

Basement & Radon Solutions was able to install a Sub-Membrane Exterior Radon Mitigation System for Kevin. We sealed Kevin's crawlspace with a 9-mil white Reinforced Radon Barrier liner and place a radon suction line underneath the liner. A radon fan was installed on the left rear exterior of the home. The radon fan vent pipe from the fan was extended to above the roof line. By installing a radon mitigation system we were able to bring the radon levels in Kevin's home from 4.5 pCi/L to 0.5 pCi/L! It was our pleasure helping to get Kevin's home happy, healthy, and safe.
