Basement & Radon Solutions did two jobs for us at a rental house. They were prompt, helpful, willing to accommodate our schedule, and worked diligently to solve all problems. The pricing was fair and they were very good at explaining their plan at each step of the process. Many thanks to them!

5 Star Google Review Cliff R.

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, did quite a bit of work for Cliff and here is how it went...

1. Removed all insulation from the crawlspace.

2. Remediation of mold and organic growth in the crawlspace by cleaning the sub-floor for wood decaying fungi/organic growth then fogging it with our EPA registered fungicide.

3. Installed new insulation to the crawlspace.

4. Added a Hydra-Channel with a Pro-Series Sump Pump to help with any future water leaks.

5. Encapsulated the crawlspace using Thermal Shield 90 mil wall liner- Metal foil faced reflective liner w/plastic moisture barrier. It's also Class A Fire Rated w/zero perm rate. Then we installed 15 mil Premium ground liner- Walk on/Store on rated, 100% white woven reinforced liner. It's also antibacterial, meaning mold and other organic growth will not grow to the liners.

6. Installed an Aprilaire 1820 dehumidifier in Cliff's crawlspace. This model can remove up to 70 pints of moisture per day!

7. Lastly we installed a Hygrometer- This is a remote senor that will tell Cliff the humidity and temperature of the crawlspace from the comfort of his home.

It was a pleasure helping Cliff make his home happy, healthy, and safe!

Google Review Sue S.

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, tore out the old radon mitigation system and put in a new sub-slab radon mitigation system in for Sue. We drilled a hole into the slab all the way to the earth to create a suction pit. From the suction pit we installed 4" piping up and out to the exterior of Sue's home. Once the piping is outside it is connected to the radon fan. This radon fan works with the suction pit to draw out the radon gas from under the slab before it enters the living space of Sue's home. From the radon fan the pipe is then extended to over the roofline where the radon gas is expelled safely. We also installed a vacuum gauge called a Manometer. This will allow Sue to monitor the radon mitigation system. BRS Pros also did a 48 hour radon test after the new system was installed. This radon test came back at 2.0 pCi/L. It was such a pleasure to help Sue get her home ready to be sold and making it happy, healthy, and safe!

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, installed a radon sub-slab mitigation system. The goal of this system is to remove the radon beneath the slab before it enters the living area of the home. A  5" diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below and a suction pit was created. A 4" schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and then extend to the left exterior of the home. The radon fan was mounted on the rear exterior, then the radon vent pipe was extend above the roof. The manometer gauge (homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge) then was installed on the suction line pipe in the garage for easy viewing. We then did a post radon test and brought Bruce's radon levels down by 20.7pCi/L! It was a pleasure to help Bruce make his new home happy, healthy, and safe!

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, installed a Sub-Slab Radon Mitigation System with both a floor suction point and a wall depressurization point. We installed this system to draw out any radon gas that is underneath the slab before it goes inside Judy's home. We installed the radon vent pipe through an interior closet (instead of having it run along the exterior of his home). The radon fan that connects the radon suction line and the radon vent pipe comes with a 5 year manufacturer's warranty. (Radon fans have an average life span of 8-10 years and should be monitored via the manometer). The manometer is an instrument for measuring low-range positive, negative, and differential air and gas pressure. It's installed on the radon vent pipe. Judy will be able to monitor this gauge to insure the radon fan is working. It was a pleasure helping Judy make her home happy, healthy, and safe!

Great before and after of a set of concrete stairs that were uneven and mostly slanted towards the house - causing potentially damaging water run off. The client contacted us about having uneven concrete steps that we wanted to have leveled. Upon inspection the steps were sunk towards the house creating potentially damaging water runoff. Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, offered a Poly Concrete Lift & Level solution (that is fast, affordable, and green). Project Manager Stanley and Service Technician Thomas were able to raise the concrete steps and angle them at the client's request away from the home.
