Stephen Starnes and the owner Mr. Johnson answered all my questions and helped me understand what would be done and how it would be done prior to me signing the contract. It took two men all day to do the work which was quite extensive. Both men were efficient, polite and extremely helpful with all my questions. My basement was thoroughly cleaned of all debris by the men. I was told they would come back to test the system as the fittings needed to dry thoroughly. They were back 4days later, tested the system and made sure all water was wiped up from the testing

Approximate location of suction point in basement. Bill J.
July 9, 2021
Basement & Radon Solutions installed a Sub-Slab radon mitigation system in Bill's basement. The radon suction line was installed in the left unfinished basement slab. After diagnostics for system performance, a 5" diameter hole was drilled through the concrete slab to the earth below. This is where a suction pit was then created. A 4" schedule 40 PVC suction line was installed in the slab, sealed and it extends to the left exterior of the home. The radon fan was mounted on the left exterior of Bill's home. The radon vent pipe was then extended above the roof line to expel the radon gas safely. Then we installed a manometer gauge which is a -homeowner radon fan monitoring vacuum gauge- on the suction line pipe in the basement. After installing the radon mitigation system we brought the radon gas level down to 1.5 pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping Bill get his home happy, healthy, and safe for a new home owner!

Replace Manometer gauge. Nicol & Rob B.
April 8, 2021

Basement & Radon Solutions did some repairs for Nicol & Rob. We added a new manometer to the radon system. A manometer is a vacuum gauge that monitors the radon system to insure the radon fan is operational. Then replaced a premium rubber noise suppressing dampener that was installed between the radon fan and radon vent pipe. A PVC chimney cap was also installed on the exterior termination point of the radon vent to prevent animals and rain from entering radon vent pipe. Lastly, we used polyurethane sealant to seal up and holes or cracks that were made. It was a pleasure helping Nicol & Rob make their home safe, happy, and healthy again!
