It took two men all day to do the work which was quite extensive. Both men were efficient, polite and extremely helpful with all my questions. My basement was thoroughly cleaned of all debris by the men. I was told they would come back to test the system as the fittings needed to dry thoroughly. They were back 4days later, tested the system and made sure all water was wiped up from the testing

Replace Manometer gauge. Nicol & Rob B.
April 8, 2021

Basement & Radon Solutions did some repairs for Nicol & Rob. We added a new manometer to the radon system. A manometer is a vacuum gauge that monitors the radon system to insure the radon fan is operational. Then replaced a premium rubber noise suppressing dampener that was installed between the radon fan and radon vent pipe. A PVC chimney cap was also installed on the exterior termination point of the radon vent to prevent animals and rain from entering radon vent pipe. Lastly, we used polyurethane sealant to seal up and holes or cracks that were made. It was a pleasure helping Nicol & Rob make their home safe, happy, and healthy again!

Raise and support concrete Larry J.
April 1, 2021

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, did our poly concrete lift for Larry's sidewalk. Here is a little bit about our poly concrete lift:

Drilling holes in strategic spots on the slab – holes were drilled in the affected areas of the concrete slabs, usually in a regular pattern and spacing to allow for even pumping of concrete raising material underneath.

Polyurethane foam was pumped in – with the holes in the slab, polyurethane foam was pumped in with the use of a high-pressure injection gun. The material instantaneously expands and fills the voids underneath the slab and in the soil, raising the concrete to its original level. This material also helps stabilize the soil underneath by filling in the gaps and compressing loose areas.

Cost Effective – Concrete raising is typically half the cost of replacing the same concrete. Ultimately, the cost of raising or stabilizing concrete is a direct reflection of how much leveling material the project will require.

Quick-Cure Time – Polyurethane typically cures 15 minutes after injection allowing areas to be fully available in minutes instead of days.

Clean Work Environment – No concrete or grout spatter and no wash-down needed.

Small Holes – Polyurethane concrete raising creates nearly invisible 5/8" holes with minimal patchwork required.

Lightweight – Weighing only 2-4lbs per cubic foot, high density polyurethane's lightweight characteristics will not overburden the soil.

Green! – The poly foams we use are environmentally friendly, consisting of 39-49% renewable and recycled materials that are made in the USA. Most poly raw materials are petroleum-based. Our green polyurethane Bio-based materials are not only good for the environment, but actually enhance the foam properties.

It was a pleasure helping Larry make his home safe, happy, and healthy!

Front wall in the basement. Henry Z.
November 24, 2020

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, installed a Fast Drain system that connects to a Pro-Series Pump. The Fast Drain system was installed on the front and right walls of the basement. The water that drains into the Fast Drain gets pumped out by the Pro-Series Pump. We also installed a Thermal Shield wall liner that is 90-mil, Class A Fire Rated and near zero perm rate. This Thermal Shield will reflect the natural occurring heat generated by the basement to make a much warmer space. It was a pleasure to help make Henry's home happy, healthy, and safe!

Approximate location of radon fan and vent pipe. Peter L.
October 12, 2020

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, tested Peter's home for radon and it came back elevated to 8.8 pCi/L. How we fixed this issue was by installing a Sub-Membrane Radon Mitigation System. This system is designed to remove the radon gas before it enters the living spaces of Peter's home. We installed a suction line in the crawl space floor then the suction line was extended to the exterior of the home. This suction line connects to a radon fan that is on the exterior of the home. From the radon fan the pipe is extended once again to past the roof line of the home where the gas can be expelled safely. On top of the mitigation system we installed a 9-mil white 100% woven reinforced ground liner. This liner will keep the crawl space nice and dry. BRS Pros did a post mitigation test and it came back at a great 0.2 pCi/L! It was a pleasure helping Peter get his home healthy, happy, and safe for a new owner!

Raise and support to level joint 1 Tom Z.
October 21, 2020

Basement & Radon Solutions, BRS Pros, lifted 6 sections of the sidewalk for the HOA in Tom's community. We lifted these concrete sections by drilling holes in the affected areas of the concrete slabs, in a regular pattern and spacing to allow for even pumping of concrete raising material underneath. Then with the holes in the slab, polyurethane foam was pumped in with the use of a high-pressure injection gun. The material instantaneously expands and filled the voi underneath the slab and in the soil, raising the concrete to it's original level. This material also helps stabilize the soil underneath by filling in the gaps and compressing loose areas. Polyurethane typically cures in 15 minutes after injection allowing the areas to be fully available/useable in minutes instead of days. After the polyurethane cured we filled in the holes. The poly foams we use are environmentally friendly, consisting of 39-49% renewable and recycled materials that are made in the USA. Our green polyurethane Biobased materials are not only good for the environment, but actually enhance the foam properties. It was a pleasure to help Tom and the HOA to make their commuinty happy, healthy, and safe!
