This is a preliminary review as I will update after seeing how the dehumidifier they installed works during the hot humid summer. In terms of service, punctuality, courteousness and knowledge I rate Stanley and the team (both in the field thand the office) highly. It was a pleasure working with them.

I hired Basement Solutions to check out a sealed crawl space I had in one area under my house that had become very humid. It was dry, but no dehumidifier had ever been installed and mold had begun to grow. They cleaned the mold and treated it to inhibit further mold growth. They then installed a dehumidifier. In my main crawl space area I had them install a new dehumidifier to replace two old ones I had used for years. These new ones are more efficient and economical to use and are mounted out of the way. I would certainly recommend this company for its professionalism. The cost was very reasonable and it was completed in an excellent time frame.

Other than some red mud left in the drive way the cleanup was very good. The appearance of the crawlspace is outstanding.Great job.

It was a long process... over three months... but that was because I had to have several things done before they could do their work. I had to move my hot water heater and have a cinder block wall built to contain the dirt walls which were starting to fall in due to all the rain we have had this year. I also decided to replace all of the furnace duct work because I have an old house and it needed to be done anyway at some point. We also had several out-of-town trips to schedule around.
Once they came, however, the team of three got right to work pouring concrete, installing the sump pump, putting in the baseboard system of collecting water, putting down the vapor barrier and installing the dehumidifier. I was very impressed with how respectful they were and how one member of the team even cleaned up the mess the block worker had done to my mulch outside six weeks before! They also hauled away the pallets left by the block worker.
They were very good about staying in touch with me if they were running a little late, which happened occasionally due to traffic. The pump on the dehumidifier malfunctioned and they came out right away to replace it. We have yet to have a huge downpour but I feel confident that if I have any problems or questions, they will come and make it right. I highly recommend them to anyone who is having problems with water in the basement or cellar.

We were really happy with the company and their work. The estimate process was simple and the cost was very reasonable, especially considering the cost of the dehumidifier alone is over $1000. The cost included radon piping and the concrete pouring, neither of which we were specifically looking for. They also gave us helpful advice about other work we might want to have a plumber do in our basement in the future, and pointed out some downspouts that needed work because they were draining into the foundation and contributing directly to the moisture problem.
On the day the work was scheduled, the team of 3 people showed up promptly and got right to work. It actually took a day and the next morning to complete, but everything looks great. They installed the dehumidifier so that it is suspended from the ceiling of the space. Everything was done according to what we had discussed and the equipment is functioning well. We'd use this company again in a heartbeat!

Basement & Radon Solutions trenched and installed drains in our leaking basement. A sump pump and a water vapor barrier was installed. We have a 1920's era house and have had problems with flooding since we bought it. It has rained hard twice since we had the work done, and it seems to be working out great. Rod was quick getting back to us and gave us a very reasonable estimate. We got several other estimates and Basement & Radon Solutions estimate was by far the most affordable. They scheduled us in without a long wait and worked around our time frame. On top of that they were the most professional of the companies we interviewed. They gave us a price and stuck to it. They told us how long it would take and finished on time. We would highly recommend this company.

I have water intrusion around the edge of the foundation in the crawl space. Found during a home inspection (I'm selling the house). Looking to close in August, so would like at least a quote ASAP.

The house was inspected last week and some issues were found in the crawl space w/ moisture and fungus. The house is roughly 1,000 square feet and the crawl space area is about the same. Please email me an estimate for the following items (I am shopping around for these services): -Installation of interior foundation drains w/ sump pump -Removal of insulation and fungus treatment -Replace insulation with R-19 floor insulation -Install new 6 mil vapor barrier Email is the best way to reach me. Thank you!

Hello, I am looking for estimates on crawl space encapsulation and insulating the rim joist. Home is just under 1000 sq.ft.; half is unfinished basement, half is dirt floor crawlspace, four foundation vents (two on each side). Built in mid 1940's with stone foundation. Does not have known moisture issues (besides humidity), but want to take preventative measures and clean up the space a bit. Previous radon tests have been at 2.9 and 3.2 (taken one year apart), so may need to monitor following any work done to seal the space. Email contact is best. Thanks.

Hello! We need an estimate for the repairs needed in the basement at 22 Spooks Branch Road in Asheville. The block foundation has a big stair-step crack. Andrew Erskine recommended you. Thank you so much!!

We have a sub-slab depressurization radon mitigation system in our garage which was installed by another company in 2011. We noticed moisture in the ceiling and found that the PVC joint inside the ceiling leading to the roof had become disconnected. Reconnecting that seemed to stop the moisture. The fan or venting unit failed as well. It does not seem to be a breaker. We did an in-home radon test ourselves earlier this year and found the levels elevated. Are you able to give an estimate on repair of an existing system? Many thanks, Anthony Moore

I'm a real estate broker with some buyers for 21 Woodcrest Rd 28804. Home inspection revealed foundation and drainage issues. Looks like attempts have been made in the past to mitigate but there are still issues. Property is vacant, easy to get in, ready asap. Thanks!
